A Letter of Gratitude
As this 365-day journey slowly begins to approach its final chapter, I've found myself reflecting on everything that has happened along the way.
When I took my first cold dip, I never imagined how many people would eventually join me. What started as a personal challenge became a community built around stillness, nature, courage, and healing.
To everyone who has supported this journey through a coffee, a membership, or simply by being here—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Your kindness has helped me continue creating, exploring Sweden's beautiful landscapes, and sharing these quiet moments with the world.
This may be one chapter coming to an end, but it doesn't feel like the end of the story. It feels like the beginning of something new.
I'm so grateful you're here. 🤍🌲
Tjust Archipelago – Where Life Slows Down
Some places don't ask for your attention. They simply invite you to slow down.
The Tjust Archipelago, on Sweden's east coast, is one of those places.
I spent a few peaceful summer days surrounded by smooth granite cliffs, quiet coves and endless horizons. Mornings began with a swim in the calm Baltic Sea, followed by coffee outside a small cabin where the only sounds were birdsong and the gentle movement of the water.
There was no rush. No schedule. Just long walks along the shoreline, warm evenings under a golden sky and the quiet reminder that nature has its own rhythm.
Places like Tjust remind me why I started this journey. They invite us to breathe a little deeper, look a little longer and appreciate the beauty that is often found in simplicity.
This is the first stop on my Discovering Sweden journey, where I share some of the places that have inspired me the most. Hidden archipelagos, peaceful forests, charming cabins and landscapes that invite stillness.
I hope they inspire you to discover a quieter side of Sweden, too.
Some places stay with you long after you leave. Tjust is one of them.
The Midsummer Light
The Swedish Midsummer is almost here.
The days are at their longest now, and the forests seem to hold a special kind of light. Mornings begin early, evenings linger, and for a few precious weeks it feels as if the sun never truly leaves.
Tomorrow I will travel north to Dalarna to celebrate Midsummer, one of Sweden’s most cherished traditions. A time of wildflowers, maypoles, family gatherings, and the quiet beauty of nature in full bloom.
For me, Midsummer is a reminder to slow down and appreciate the simple things: the scent of the forest after rain, the song of birds at dawn, the warmth of sunlight on skin, and the feeling of cold water around me at the start of a new day.
Wherever you are in the world, I hope you find a moment to step outside, breathe deeply, and enjoy the beauty of the season.
Warm wishes from Sweden,
Swedish Forest Girl 🌿
80 days left
Today marks day 285 of my cold water swimming journey.
What began as a personal challenge became something much bigger.
Through changing seasons, silence, sunlight and ice, the water has taught me gratitude, patience and presence.
There are now 80 days left until day 365.
